Here are a few of the places you may or may not have heard of before but that I personally recommend.
NR TRURO/ SHORTLANESEND |
Penrose Kitchen run by Ben and Sam has been a really good find. Ben's cooking is soo good. They have also been so supportive with coming up with different ideas for event collaborations with each other.

PONSANOOTH |
When my Nanna used to visit us from Australia she would make us authentic Indian food, curries, roti, dal, poori etc and I had never tasted the same flavours in Indian cooking ever in the UK until I met Usha James of The Stag Hunt Inn at Ponsanooth. Usha's home style cooking matches the flavours of my Nanna's cooking. If you want to try Usha's Indian cooking you have to personally ring her up and book her for her Indian specialties. We have used Usha on 3 occasions so far and have always been wowed by her cooking.
Address: The Stag Hunt Inn at Ponsanooth, 20 St Michael's Rd, Ponsanooth, Truro. TR3 7EE |
MYLOR HARBOUR |
I love Castaways in Mylor. I have never ordered from the menu I always order from the specials board and have never been let down by the options I have chosen.
Address: Castaways Wine Bar, Mylor Harbour, Falmouth. TR11 5UF |
ST KEVERNE |
I highly recommend Fat Apples Cafe, this place is in the middle of know where but it is worth the drive. I stumbled upon this beautiful hidden treasure whilst exploring Cornwall when I first moved down and took a 2 week holiday to explore. They do scrumptious cream teas and cake and wonderful healthy lunches with lots of little extras. If you loved the Secret Garden Cafe in Truro then you will fall in love with Fat Apples.
Address: Fat Apples Cafe, Porthallow, Saint Keverne. TR12 6QH |
MORVAH |
For those of you that love cream teas, this place is a great find. On a random drive around the rugged landscape (AONB) I came across Rosemergy Cream Teas. It has a beautiful garden and tea room. I sat underneath the trees on a bench enjoying the cream teas whilst the little birds flew by stealing the crumbs.
Address: Rosemergy Cream Teas, Morvah, Penzance. TR20 8YX |
PHILLEIGH |
I met George and James 3 years ago when I won an amazing cookery class at their cookery school - Philleigh Way on the Roseland. This was one of the best experiences I have had when it comes to cooking. I fell in love with their cookery school. I have been to their Fish and Vegetarian cookery classes and I hired George for a private dinner for a birthday and the guys let me hold a private event with a former Australian Masterchef contestant Kumar Pereira a few years ago, I have also attended a couple of their wood-fired evenings.
