Private supper club at Carwinion House

Last night we collaborated with Petty Fours for the second time with Chefs Alfie Petty, Tareg Morris and Jack Mitchell as I organised a private Supper Club night inside Carwinion House, a historic 18th Century country house set in 12 acres of stunning sub-tropical gardens in the village of Mawnan Smith.

Owners Laraine and Paul welcomed 20 strangers into their exquisite manor house for an evening with us, Potluck Cornwall.

Our guests dined on an 8 course tasting menu (they originally thought there were going to be 6)

A glass of Strawberry No-Mojito was sipped under the sun on the terrace whilst some of the diners perused the walled gardens.

Canapés were brought out on long platters

- Truffle Mushroom and Parmesan Beignet

- Smoked Mackerel Pâté tartlet with Dill

- Beetroot and Feta tart (V)

- Celeriac En croûte (V)

Once seated we enjoyed a bread roll with smoked butter.

Followed by a Ratatouille Tortellini Amuse bouch

Starters

Seabourne Fish Megrim Sole, Bisque, Braised Fennel.

or

Braised Fennel and Lemon Risotto. (V)

Mains

Brian Etherington Lamb with Spinach and Nettle purée, Shepherds pie and Carrot.

or

Roasted Aubergine, with Spinach and Nettle purée, Lentil pie and Carrot. (V)

Pre-Dessert

Sweetly Ending with Petty Fours

Some of the guests stayed afterwards and enjoyed a game of Snooker in the Library.

It was such a magical evening, I'm looking forward to many more collaborations together.
