“When I saw the photos of last year’s Burns Night 2025 feast at The Tartan Fox pub I blimin knew I had to go. It just looked magical and I’m happy to say it was worth the year’s wait for this year’s celebration.

Held in the tipi at the Tartan Fox, we arrived to fire pits and a piper, followed by six courses of fabulous food,
all the traditional poems, speeches and toasts, and ended with a good old sing song of Auld Lang Syne.

It’s hard to describe what made it so fab. Perhaps the fact that Potluck’s founder Taor has landed on something that’s so special by bringing people together through food not just on Burns night, but all year round. The atmosphere she creates means I could rock up solo and feel completely at ease within minutes. Then there’s the attention to detail - the goodie bags, the little touches, the immersive experience. It was just fab!”.

“Absolutely Beautiful! I went to the Hygge event and it was stunning, warm and welcoming. If you are on your own or with friends this is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people. The food is extremely tasty! And the value for money is incredible! There was plenty of food for all and I know this would have cost a fortune in a restaurant. Everything was calm and organised in such a lovely way. I will definitely be going to another event soon!”

Taor reached out to us when we had recently opened our place in Truro, offering to host a chat and eat night.

We hosted the event within the first couple of weeks of opening which provided all of our staff with valuable experience ahead of the season. We were so pleased to host such a lovely bunch of people. 😍
