TEST KITCHEN TUESDAYS WITH PETTY FOURS
Last night marked the launch of our very first Test Kitchen Tuesdays with Chef Alfred Petty, Owner and Head Chef of Petty Fours Restaurant in Truro, who just so happens to be my very talented brother-in-law. Some of you may have experienced his cooking when we started doing pop-ups with him at some of our members’ private homes, kindly made available to us in St Mawes and at Carwinion House.
He is now 16 months into running his own restaurant, which was recently mentioned in the Michelin Guide 2026. He has come a long way, and last night proved just that. I am looking forward to rolling these Tuesday nights out and hope you will come and join us, or at least help us spread the word.
These evenings offer an exclusive opportunity to experience new dishes in development before they reach the main menu, showcasing the creativity and innovation of Chef Alfred Petty. Here’s a little teaser of what we enjoyed last night:
Vol. 1, “All about the Creedy Carver Duck"
~
‘Ploughman’s picnic’
Duck liver, pickle
Brie croquette, cranberry
Our focaccia,
Duck fat butter and a sea salted butter
Duck egg ravioli, celeriac, black garlic
Salt-cured Duck breast, carrot, Duck fat potato
Duck fat caramel, Vanilla
To end
Petit fours
~
Duck set the tone for an evening full of surprises, every dish carrying its own clever Duck-twist. From the first bite to the last, it was thoughtful, creative, and genuinely showstopping. A truly memorable way to begin the series, and if this first volume is anything to go by, the weeks ahead promise to be something rather special.
£38 per person for 3 courses.
