47th Chat and Eat Night at Tallo newquay

What a truly electric evening we had at Tallo Newquay, SeaSpace hotels on Wednesday.

We were treated to a wholesome Italian-American inspired three-course menu, thoughtfully created and delivered with such care and talent by Chef Grant Goodson and Chef Connor Old.

Every single dish was outstanding, and it was so lovely to see everyone around the table genuinely enjoying the food and the experience together.

I want to give a particularly special mention to Connor. Watching him step outside of his comfort zone and personally talk diners through each dish he created was honestly such a joy to see. His passion, pride, and dedication to his craft really shone through and added such a meaningful and personal layer to the whole evening.

A huge thank you also has to go to Millie and the entire front of house team. They made everything run so seamlessly, always with warmth, professionalism and a willingness to help with anything at all. That kind of energy makes such a difference to the atmosphere of an event.

Big thank you to Ed Cooke for such a warm welcome and for being our guest speaker. Hearing more about the story behind Tallo and the other amazing ventures within the Camel’s Back family was genuinely fascinating.

Most importantly though, thank you to every single person who joined me. I want to give a little extra love to those who arrived feeling slightly nervous about meeting new people, but who left feeling relaxed, comfortable and connected. Hearing that the evening felt easier and more enjoyable than expected, and that so many of you want to come along again, honestly means everything to me.

This is exactly why I love bringing people together.
