48th Chat and Eat Night at Fern Cornwall
For our 48th Chat & Eat Night, we had the pleasure of collaborating with the brilliant team at Fern Cornwall ⸙
There’s something really special about supporting a new restaurant finding its feet, and from the moment we walked in, you could feel the care, passion and quiet confidence behind what they’re building.
The evening unfolded just as we love it at Potluck Cornwall, relaxed, welcoming, and full of good conversation over genuinely thoughtful food and drink.
We started with a welcome drink and a hash brown with taramasalata & cucumber (I'm not going to lie, I could have eaten a whole plate of these… they were seriously moreish).
Once seated, the menu continued to impress: BBQ squash with burnt orange ponzu, kohlrabi & furikake.
Beef cake with mussel & dulse ketchup and crispy mussels
Smoked Cornish news with wild garlic & bacon crumb
and a salted caramel custard with yoghurt, ginger snap & lime to finish.
Each dish showcased local ingredients in a creative way. As always, these evenings are about so much more than what’s on the plate. It’s about the people around the table, new faces, returning friends, conversations flowing, and that shared feeling of connection that makes these nights what they are. A big thank you to the team at Fern for having us and for putting so much heart and soul into the evening; we’re excited to see what’s ahead for you. And to everyone who came along, thank you for being part of it.
